Baraka Care Children’s Foundation provides nutritious, warm meals to 150 children every weekday. For most of these children, this school meal is their only meal of the day. Our goal is to combat malnutrition and give these children a chance at a healthier future.
🌱 Why This Matters
🛑 Malnutrition Crisis: The first 1,000 days of a child’s life are crucial for brain and body development. Malnutrition during this stage can cause irreversible damage, limiting their potential forever.
💔 Poverty & Food Insecurity: Many of these children come from low-income families where parents struggle to provide even a single meal per day. Others are orphans living with relatives in urban slums, facing economic hardship and poor hygiene.
🥣 Lack of Proper Nutrition: With irregular and low-quality meals, these children suffer from stunted growth, poor health, and cognitive delays—issues that can impact their entire lives.
